Yosemite National Park Fall 2011 and Yosemite Renaissance XXVII Exhibition

Yosemite Tunnel View, Silk Painting 19" x  27"
This fall I visited very beautiful place - Yosemite National Park. I spent several days here and it was really remarkable time! When I was back and returned to my studio I was inspired to paint Yosemite Tunnel View on silk. At the time when I finished the painting, it happened that I found a call for artists to submit their works for Yosemite Renaissance XXVII Exhibition. Yosemite Renaissance is an annual competition/exhibition which is intended to encourage diverse artistic interpretations of Yosemite. I submitted my Tunnel View silk painting and it was accepted. Right now my silk painting is on exhibit at the Yosemite National Museum. The exhibition runs from Feb. 27 to May 5.

I am really happy to say that my silk painting won an award at the Yosemite Renaissance XXVII Exhibition.
Please, see the list of artists and awards at the Yosemite Renaissance XXVII Exhibition here:
And general information about exhibition is here:

Here I want to share several photos from my visit to Yosemite, Fall 2011.
